Last summer, me and my girlfriend Emily travelled 3000 miles up to the Highlands and back in our 1982 VW T25 campervan, Wilma. Scotland's deep glens, glistening lochs and towering mountains make it an epic place for a road trip. It wasn't all rainbows and unicorns though. My drone broke on day one, we had an oil leak, locked our only set of keys in the van and it rained.. a lot, but that won't stop us going back!
I filmed the whole trip on my GoPro Karma Grip with the Hero 5. The integrated gimbal stabilises the footage which produced some really smooth, cinematic shots.
I submitted my film 'Wild Scotland' to the National Geographic Traveller 2018 competition. A few months later, I received an e-mail saying it had been selected as one of three finalists for the 'Video' category. The winner will be announced later this month, so stay tuned to hear the results!
